Char Dham Yatra was started by the great Hindu philosopher and reformer – AdiShankaracharya; in the 8th century A.D. to revive the Hindu religion. Each of the four sites being devoted to a specific deity as well as marking itself as the spiritual source of the four sacred rivers. River Yamuna (Yamunotri), River Ganga or Ganges (Gangotri), River Mandakini (Kedarnath) and River Alaknanda (Badrinath).Yamunotri is dedicated to the Goddess Yamuna.

Gangotri is dedicated to the Goddess Ganga. Kedarnath is dedicated to Lord Shiva and it is

also the abode of the northernmost Jyotirlinga. Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. All the

four Char Dhams are rich with their own tales which reason the establishment of each Dham.

The Char Dham are considered to be extremely high source of spiritual power and this is what

Is it safe to travel to Kedarnath?

Yes it is completely safe to visit Kedarnath. The road is well connected till Sonprayag and heli service is also available from Phata, Sonprayag, Gaurikund. But it is advised to avoid yatra in monsoon or on a rainy day.

Are there any ATM facilities in Kedarnath?

Yes, currently there is only a single ATM of HDFC Bank in Kedarnath. But it is always advised to don’t rely on digital cash, cards or ATM when you are traveling to hilly areas. On hills, you can face network related issues which can affect your transaction, so to be on a safe side carry enough cash before departure. If you are out of money on the way to Kedarnath, then you can also withdraw cash from these ATMs which are in the town of Phata & Sonprayag.

Is any registration required for Kedarnath Yatra?

Yes, registration is mandatory for every Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib Pilgrims. You can fill this registration form both online and offline (by visiting Chardham Biometric Centres in Uttarakhand). For offline biometric registration, you only need an Aadhaar Card.

Payment Policy

You can book your tour with us at 20% advance to get the confirmation.

Confirmation will be expedited within 24 hours (one working days) after the booking amount.

Balance payment is to be made before 3 days of on arrival at the pickup location before the commencement of the tour.

Cancellation Policy

Make your booking 15 days prior in advance. If you cancel the trek due to any reason, it is mandatory to notify us. Cancellation charges will only be effective from the date we get your request to cancel the trek.
If the trek gets cancelled from our side due to any reason (heavy snowfall, rainfall, natural disaster etc.) then the refund will not be initiated but we will arrange another trek.
Note :- If your trek starts once, and in between 2 or 4 days at the time of the trek, the weather gets bad or the trek route is closed for some reason due to which the trek cannot be done, then the company will not refund the any money to you.

All the preparations of the company are behind this, for which you cannot blame the company.
The company can suggest some other good and safe trek for you at that time – which will be done at the same cost.
And if it does not happen near that place then it would be better to cancel the trek.
Trek On India can do this for you by deducting the payment for the number of days you trekked and giving you a voucher or coupon code for 1 year
You can use a Voucher or Coupon Code for another trek within 1 year
If for any reason you return from the trek at the time of the trek, then no payment will be refunded to you.
And if you have booked a trek of 6 days and if you have completed 5 days then you cannot ask for a refund of 1 day.
